Dear Loli's
Dear Loli's,
Hi! I know I have not gotten a chance to really update that much. Here is why!
1) My sister is getting married, and not only do I have the responsibilities of being the sister of the Bride, my little sister and I are the Maids of Honor... I don't know if she is allowed to have two but she is doing it anyway!
2) I have started school, working on getting my degree in fashion and design! (insert applause) I am only part time so I have a little bit of a way to go, but I am doing it!
3) Work is in over time mode. I spend most of my week doing 12-13 hour shifts... yeah, it's crazy but I like the money.
So that are the three main reasons as to why you might not have heard much from me. A lot of exciting stuff going on! Oh! Mason is coming for his second visit here and we are super excited about that. He will be in town for my sister's wedding and then we will have some time together!
Expect pictures to be uploaded on the Facebook page. The pictures might not be Lolita related, but I am going to post some pictures from my sister's wedding because it is "craft" related. I am making the ring barer pillow and two sashes for the Jr. Brides Maids. Because I am running out of time my Friend Sunny Sprocket is going to be assisting me, and I will be paying her in the form of Taco Bell.
Speaking of pictures and the Facebook page, if you haven't already liked the page, you should because its where I am post all my Lolita and craft pictures... and because I asked you to <3

If this link does not work, please let me know!
Also, reminding that the Contest has started! Don't think that because I am busy that I forgot. Thank you to those who have already sent in submissions! Those of you who have yet to enter, you still have till the end of the month!
I also wanted to make a note about one of the questions. If you're not a designer or don't sew, you can either leave that question blank. You can write what your hobbies are! Like if you do crafting or singing, anything is good! I will edit that question.
I would love to write more for everyone, but I have got to hop off of here and get busy. I will try to make more regular updates.
Hugs and Kisses,
PLV <3

Contest Entry!
Ok, so today after one of our meet ups, I remembered I promised a piece of clothing to whomever wins the contest XD I feel that I should once again let you know, I am self taught when it comes to sewing. Anything that I make are not going to be up to retail standards, but so far I think I have made some pretty cute stuff.
Rules are as follows:
Answer honestly and you can put as much or as little details as you want.
Nothing offensive, I shouldn't have to go into much more detail than that.
Please try to answer all questions. I do understand that not all questions may apply to everyone or you just might not have an answer.
On to the Questions!
1) What is your name? I suggest using a fake name, since this is the Internet!
2) What kind of Lolita are you?
3) Favorite brand, and why?
4) If you could live in any era, what would it be and why?
5) Are you yourself a designer, or do you make your own Lolita clothes? Or do you have any other
hobbies you feel like sharing?
6) What do you think will be next for Lolita, or what would you like to see?
Well that is it. Not much I know, but I figured I would keep it short and sweet. Please email all entries to the following email:
lolitadoll1121@gmail.com

Free Lolita Skirt/JSK/OP Contest, Anyone?
Hey everyone!
So I thought I would offer something interesting. I have a lot of fabric just laying around, and I need to use it. So I came up with an idea that I think everyone will like!
Every now and then (to clean up my fabric bin... bins... ok it's a whole room full), I am going to hold a contest for a FREE, that is right 100% FREE (including shipping and handling... tell me who else is going to offer that?.. That wasn't a serious question meant to be answered.) Lolita skirt, JSK, or OP. Now I understand that there are different styles of Lolita, so I am going to use this as a chance to really dig deep and branch out into the different styles that I have not hit yet. Our first contest will start September first, and will go on until October 1st. That means you have a whole month to enter the contest. Anyone who submits their entry even a day early will be disqualified and I will withdraw your entry. Once October 1st rolls around, I will get started on your FREE Skirt/JKS/OP.... I would do it sooner, but August and September is going to be a bit hairy for me, so if I am going to start a crazy sewing project, October would be best.
Lolita Doll 11, how do we enter and how will you choose a winner?
I am so glad you asked LD11! I am going to create a small questionnaire that I want all contestants to fill out. There will be no right or wrong answer. Please note that by submitting your entry I assume that is you giving me permission to post your answers on this blog. If you do not want your answers posted, please indicate so when submitting your entry. I will also write out all the requirements and rules once we get closer to the contest.
Lolita Doll 11, why are you offering a free skirt/JSK/OP?Why not?
I tried to do the whole "lets make money and try to sell what I make!" and that didn't really work out the way that I thought it would or make me happy. What really makes me happy, it making other people happy. I have the materials, and hopefully will have the time come October to use my hobby in a way that I feel can make someone else happy. This also gives me a great chance to get to know my readers (All 9 of you... <3 ) and hopefully as a way for me to meet and connect with others. So really this is even more selfish than wanting to make money if you think about it lol.
Well, This Loli is very tired, and I am still doing over time at work (we should be done overtime by the Contest). Also need to get started on those Questions! Goodnight everyone!

Favors, Upcycle, Renaissance Festival.
Hello My Pretties!
So for the time being we are still here. If Blogger gets better we will stay but as of right now any pictures I take I will be putting on our FB page.
So I thought I would let you all know what I am up to... aside from working two jobs and hardly sleeping. My friend Sunny Sprocket is going to go to Otakon and has asked me to help her with her costumes. I have been a very bad friend and forgotten about them, and so not I will be trying to work on some of them tonight and then hopefully get a good bulk done tomorrow. I will not be attending Otakon this year as I need to save money for Wales. I am looking forward to that Blog post, it will be like a belated Chanukah/Christmas and any other religion present :) So now you have a hint of when I will be going.
I still have not worked on those pants that are supposed to be shorts for my Kadona co-ord. So I will be working on that and also try to use the remaining fabric for a tie. Speaking of ties, I still have to make a lot more. I might be able to make a hat to go with my outfit... I have a lot of hats...
Renaissance Festival! I love going to the Renaissance Festival and I found this super cute fabric to use so that I can make a Renaissance themed Lolita Co-ord! I am going to try to make three dresses, yes three! One for myself and two more for my friends. Then, epic Lolita photoshoot! I will give you all a hint, Dragons ^-^ But first I must complete the items above! So I should get started.
Goodnight Lovelys,
Lolita Doll 11

Moving Blog...
So, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem or not, but Blogger has been eating my posts. It's getting very frustrating, and the app on my phone just went nuts. And I am sure you have noticed the crazy way my pictures would lay out before I edit. So I will keep trying to post here until we have a new space.
In other news, I finished my skirt in time for my birthday!!! I would add the picture... but as soon as I do that, that is when Blogger decides it wants to erase everything, and I don't know why.
Next project is taking a pair of pants and turning them into shorts... I really need to document these projects better, I already cut the pants XD

First Rule... Lolita and Music Channels. And Lets Get Steamy! Steampunk that is!
So I tried to be silly the other night and thought I could make a skirt without a pattern... Silly Lolita Doll 11. The first rule of sewing, ALWAYS use a pattern!... Second rule, ALWAYS USE A PATTERN!!! So now, I made a skirt, but it is soo bad... I still have some fabric left from it that I am actually going to try to make another skirt using some other fabric with it too. But first I will make the pattern that I was lacking the other night!
So Today I am going to post some youtube and website links.
The first one is from Canudoitcosplaygirl! I am a big fan of this girl, and after I move to London I plan on meeting her if I can find a Lolita Meet that she will be attending. Canudoitcosplaygirl, you have two years to flee the Country and avoid me XD. Anyway I find her videos to be pretty entertaining and downright useful! I myself am a budget Lolita. Any brand that I do have is Bodyline and I think I only have two dresses. Aside from that, I have been making my own clothes and some of the stuff I make comes out pretty awesome if I do say so myself, but I do have times where I finish something and look at it and go "omg, what the %^&* is this?" Moving back onto the topic of Canudoitcosplaygirl, she has a video on how to make a budget Lolita video, specifically for Kodona style. I already have a pair of pants that are waiting for me to finish making them frilly tastic! Hopefully I will be getting my own laptop soon and I can make her a video of my finished outfit (if she is interested in seeing it... it would be nice to have feedback :) ) So everyone should subscribe to her right now, and watch her turn this guy into a BroLita!
Next is blinktwice4y. I love the sound of this guy's voice... sorry Mason (that's the boyfriend for those who don't know). This guy was introduced to me a while go and he comes up with these great songs that he Favorite Disney movie, EVER! If Mason and I come into a lot of money, or if I ever become a fashion designer, I'm paying this guy to play at my wedding. I will pay for his hotel room, feed him, whatever it takes! And Monique has to come too to sing that song. Anyway, he got a lot of hipe from the Mario Kart Love song that he wrote. I bought his download, and I actually have to buy it again because I lost my copy :( But I am happy to send this guy my money, you should too!writes himself. He also does covers. I almost cried when I heard his and Monique Macasaet's version of Kiss the Girl from the Little Mermaid. Favorite Disney movie, EVER! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/samhart <==== where you can buy the download. .99 cents!
Final plug for the night, then I am going to go to sleep and hopefully work on my pattern tomorrow!
Steampunk... What is Steampunk? I was going to make a seperate page, like how I do for Lolita at the top of my page (which reminds me... I have to site my sources because I don't think I did before...). The problem was that I kept getting frustrated every time I was thinking about how to explain it. It's not that I cannot, but I have a problem where I need to get into every little tiny detail about it. Your lucky that the Lolita Tab came out the way it did! So lets see if I can describe Steampunk in a sentence.
Steampunk is a Neo-Victorian universe/life style that embodies the romance of the Victorian Fashion with Science Fiction... There, that wasn't too bad! But here is a video that can probably give you a better idea than I can! This video covers so much in so little time! Crafting, Music, Fashion! And it's from PBS, what more can you ask for?
Alright, well that is it for me! Hopefully I will have something new for you soon! Bye!!!
